The following article appeared in the Daily Telegraph on 16 March 2006. It is a pity that the journalist, Kate Murray, didn't bother to contact SPAIDS to find out what part they have played in the development of the Park. She might have discovered that the Sydney Park AIDS Memorial Groves volunteers had planted upwards of 8,000 trees in the SPAIDS section of the Park, and that the Reflection Area, shown on the aerial photo accompanying the article, was a permanent memorial feature of the Groves, commemorating those who have died of AIDS.
